SMS Awards JORDAN celebrate the best in social media by recognizing and rewarding influencers, brands and organizations who are using social media platforms to communicate in an innovative ways and producing great content on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. The awards are your opportunity to gain industry-wide recognition for your innovation and achievements. The awards are open to all corporate, digital, marketing, advertising, media and public relations companies that are based in the Jordan.

HOW IT WORKS
The call for entries opens in April 10th, the closing date for entries is May 10th with the shortlist announced in May 15th. The winners will be revealed at the SMSAwards ceremony during the Social Media Summit Jordan on 17 May 2017.
FACTORS THE SMS AWARDS CONSIDERS
Quality and originality of content on all social media platforms Innovation in using social media in new ways Engagement with followers, fans, friends and critics.
All entries are judged on creativity, innovation and overall effectiveness. You will have the opportunity to submit the following information.
Objective: Describe the objectives and goals that lead to the implementation of your campaign or initiative. Up to 250 words.
Strategy: Describe your entry’s strategy, implementation and key features. Up to 500 words.
Results: Lay out the results of your work and how it successfully met your team’s objectives and goals. Up to 250 words.
Entry image: Submit an image that best represents your entry.
JUDGING and JUDGING CRITERIA
All entries will be scored by the judges on these major criteria:
Creativity & innovation: Unique and innovative use of the platform, quality and originality of the creative execution, aesthetic impression, and overall creative impact of the approach, user engagement and social media experience.
Effectiveness & use of the platform: Overall effectiveness of the campaign - did it achieve the desired business objectives and results (be specific). Did the campaign or does the online presence use the capabilities of the platform to the best of it’s ability? Why is the entry best in breed?
SELECTING WINNERS, HONOREES AND FINALISTS
Winners, honorees and finalists will be determined by the average score submitted by the jury. Winners will only be chosen for categories with worthy entries. The jury's decision is final and neither the organizers nor the panel will enter into any correspondence about them.

Dr. Nasser is the Chairman of PORT Social Media. He was the Media Director of Al Arabiya, Dr. Al Sarami was the channels’ official spokesperson. He was also in charge of promoting its operations and its media various media relations, at the Arab and international level. It was his job to raise the level of interaction between the channel and its viewers as well as to increase the size of the audience. Dr. Al Sarami has been writing a column since 1999 in Al Riyadh, Al Hayat and Asharq Alawsat. He also writes for the Saudi newspaper, Al Jazeera. He has worked and contributed to the revolution in digital press publication in the Arab world. He supervised the establishment of more than 140 websites on the Internet. Al Sarami belongs to a number of Arab and International Press and Media Associations.
